We’re looking for a hands-on Senior Cloud & Systems Engineer with strong experience across cloud and on-prem infrastructure. This is a generalist role requiring deep expertise in a few domains and the ability to operate confidently across many others.
This role will be working with a diverse range of stakeholders, team members and a large stack of technologies for you to learn and grow into as well.

What you’ll work on
- Design, build and operate cloud and on-prem platforms across AWS, Azure, GCP, Linux and Windows
- Act as a technical SME across areas such as compute, storage, backup, virtualisation and security
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Codeusing Terraform and Ansible
- Troubleshoot complex issues across test and productionenvironments
- Work across storage, backup, network and compute teams as project demands shift
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical standards and best practices
- Support availability, resilience, and security across enterprise platforms
- Strong hands-on experience managing hybrid and cloud infrastructure
- In-Depth commercial experience with 3–5 core technical domains, (Linux,AWS, Azure, GCP, and Windows) with the ability to work across a broad stack
- Solid networking knowledge (DNS, load balancing, WAF, firewalls)
- Experience with operational support, change, and incident management
- Security-focused mindset and experience implementing secure infrastructure
- Practical engineering experience — outcomes matter more than certifications
- Ability to collaborate on-site and remotely in a mixed delivery environment
- Full-time, ongoing position
- $130- $140 base plus 17% super
- Hybrid working (2–3 days on site) - Sydney Location
- Strong focus on technical growth and learning
- Working within the Education industry background would be advantageous.
