Salesforce Devops Engineer / Release / Deployment - fully remote

Salesforce Administrator is a hands-on DevOps / CI/CD role to execute the Releases and Salesforce Deployments. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting pipeline issues, automation scripts, sql server reporting and debugging application. We are looking for someone with Devops background and salesforce development skills

in summary looking for a very senior technical salesforce consultant with platform administration and development skills.

You'll also provide subject matter expertise across technologies and practices to meet customer requirements for rapid service delivery, reliability and innovation. The role works collaboratively with the Platform and Environment manager.

The primary responsibilities of this position are to:
  • Implement Salesforce based solutions using Apex programming language, Lightning Web Components, Integrations (RestAPI, SOAP, Platform Event) technologies, Process Builder, Flow Builder and others.
  • Conduct code reviews and engage in peer programming approaches to software development and configuration.
  • Experienced in Salesforce Devops Skills that includes deployment and Azure Devops pipeline scripting.
  • Develop and maintain the Platform eco-system including its backup and reporting SQL Server database, DevOps pipeline, automation scripts, etc.
  • Perform technical troubleshooting tasks and provide support to citizens, external stakeholders and Directorate back-end users of the Platform.

SELECTION CRITERIA:
  1. Demonstrated experience administering Salesforce Platform, deployment approaches and automation, and utilisation of existing CICD tools (such as Azure DevOps, SFDX, Github, Gitlab, Bitbucket, Jenkins and similar).
  2. Demonstrated experience in Salesforce development and understand the salesforce component structure and deployment issues to resolve.
  3. The ability to perform/debug Salesforce deployment issues/test Class failures to identify the root cause and fixing them.
  4. Strong understanding of Salesforce development best practices, design patterns, and effective management of platform limitations
  5. Demonstrated experience with agile development methodologies in a government setting and the context of the following systems/practices:
    • establishing and configuring cloud services (EC2, Storage, CDN, DNS, Lambda Function etc)
    • Jira, Confluence, Source control systems and Continuous Delivery tools.
