Integration Solution Designer

We have been engaged by a Sydney based client of ours that are looking for 2 x Integration Solution Designers to join them on an initial 12mth contract basis with view to extend. 

The Integration Solution Designers will configure and customise integration middleware, APIs, and connectors to enable data exchange between diverse systems.

You should be able to identify and address potential bottlenecks, performance issues, and data conflicts during the integration process. You will define data mapping and transformation rules to ensure data consistency and accuracy while moving information between different systems.

Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing integration solutions for complex Finance and/or HR systems (ideally ERP-specific), including conducting integration impact assessments, creating integration designs (both high-level and detailed), defining testing approaches for integration, and planning and execution for system decommissioning.
  • Experience in managing integration projects, including scoping, planning, resource allocation, and delivery within specified timelines.
  • Strong and broad exposure to integration middleware platforms and tools, such as AWS, Boomi, MuleSoft, or similar solutions.
  • Experience in large-scale Technology Change Programs through delivery and transition to business-as-usual arrangements
  • Experience within the University / higher education sector is preferred.
  • Previous experience with implementing multiple ERP software suites is preferred (e.g., Oracle, Workday).
Skills
  • Strong understanding of system architecture principles and the ability to design scalable and efficient integration solutions that align with the overall IT infrastructure 
  • Strong knowledge of various integration technologies, platforms, and tools, including a deep understanding of integration patterns, APIs, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, middleware and data mapping.
  • Proficiency in integrating ERP systems with other enterprise applications, databases, and other third-party systems to ensure seamless data exchange.
  • Sound analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex challenges related to ERP architecture and system integration.
  • Functional knowledge of Finance and HR systems (ideally ERP-specific) is preferred.
  • Strong end-to-end team and project skills, including experience in Waterfall and Agile delivery methods and techniques (e.g., daily stand-ups, prototyping, sprints, retrospectives), detailed ‘hands on’ day-to-day management of workstreams, as well as working within large teams to drive highly strategic and transformational initiatives within complex organisational environments.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver detailed reports, briefings, and presentations to a variety of audiences, as well as a strong ability to converse with stakeholders at all levels of an organisational hierarchy (including C-suite and senior management).
Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in computer science / Information Technology / Software Engineering or equivalent (and/or extensive relevant experience).
