We have been engaged by a long standing client of ours to assist in securing someone to take on the role of Finance Functional Lead for a 3yr program of work to be based out of Sydney, NSW.
Reporting directly into the ERP Program Manager - you will works side by side a number of high profile Leads and Managers.

The Finance Functional Lead has responsibility to:
- End-to-end delivery skills derived from multiple large-scale ERP transformations, including in-depth knowledge of Finance ERP application modules, hands on design, configuration and testing capabilities in ERP software, and project leadership capability managing staff with similar skills
- Extensive knowledge of end-to-end Finance business processes, including relevant accounting practices, regulatory requirements and standards
- Advanced understanding of Chart of Account data requirements
- Strong Digital Finance Transformation capability, with strong understanding of data flow, process, automation, delegation matrix, and role mapping
- ERP Software and System Integrator vendor selection acumen, as well as vendor management skills across throughout the program and project lifecycle (particularly design and implementation)
- End-to-end project leadership skills in both Waterfall and Agile projects (including experience in Agile delivery methods and techniques, e.g. daily stand-ups, prototyping, sprints, retrospectives).
- Strong capability to establish, develop, and implement business processes and procedures that align with the processes within industry standards and best practices
- In-depth expertise for utilising process design, automation and implementation methodologies (including BPMN, LEAN, Six Sigma and Value Stream Mapping)
- Advanced capability to understand, isolate and interpret business needs and develop appropriate technical solutions
- Excellent stakeholder management capability (including managing senior stakeholders, managing complex stakeholder interests and expectations, and co-ordinating and managing activities in a complex stakeholder landscape)
- Advanced Organisational Change Management skillsets to guide stakeholders through the transformation journey
- Excellent written and oral communication skills (including the ability to prepare and deliver detailed reports, briefings and presentations on projects under delivery to a variety of audiences, as well as being able to communicate complicated concepts in business terms to business stakeholders, and technical terms to technology stakeholders as appropriate)
- 10 yrs’ experience in a program and/or project leadership role within Finance ERP implementation programs
- Broad exposure to ERP Finance application modules in the following business process areas: budgeting and forecasting, order to cash, procurement, asset management and chart of accounts
- Proven track record of delivering Digital Finance Transformation programs
- Experience in leading large-scale Technology Change Programs through delivery and transition to business-as-usual arrangements
- Strong track record in managing complex stakeholder interests and expectations
- Previous experience with multiple complex ERP systems implementations preferred (e.g. Oracle, SAP, Workday)
