Systems Analyst

We are looking to engage a Systems Analyst who will be responsible for the review and improvement of student systems and processes. 

The main focus is to write and maintain clean, well commented code in a range of scripting languages to support student management systems, provide technical input and solutions for Student Systems initiatives and review operations with the aim of streamlining workflows and minimising ongoing technical debt.

As the Technical Systems Analyst, you will:
  • Develop and deliver relevant system changes as required 
  • Complete changes within IT Change and Release management frameworks
  • Undertake analysis of both user and business process requirements
  • Provide expert advice to staff on sustainable solutions to business problems related to the student administrative process
  • Conduct impact assessment and provide advice to management and inform business and IT units on technical changes required to support curriculum or student administration policies, rules, and legislation
  • Conduct investigation into perceived problem areas or inefficiencies in the provision of student related information within the boundaries of student management and administration processes
You will also have demonstrated experience with;
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in process reengineering
  • Demonstrated experience with Oracle SQL (primarily DML)
  • Previous experience using SOAP and REST webservices
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role responsible for system and process improvement in large and complex organisations, Higher Education field desirable
  • Understanding of, and commitment to the principles and practices of privacy, integrity and equal opportunity and a willingness and capacity to implement required OHS policies and safe work practice
