Our Client, a Large Government department based in Canberra is seeking to appoint a Senior Network Engineer with strong AZURE experience to join the existing team on a 12 month initial contract day rate basis.
The team drives the departments digital agenda by partnering with stakeholders to design digital experiences making it simpler to innovate, collaborate and communicate to evolve digital services using cutting edge technology and smart design.
The scope of this role is to work within the Network team and provide support and maintenance to the Networks both in the Cloud, on – prem, voice and video and associated Infrastructure in their datacentres.

Selection Criteria
- Australian citizenship essential and hold current baseline clearance
- Strong experience implementing and troubleshooting Azure networks
- Prior experience with Firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco, Fortinet)
- Cisco Routing and Switching technologies including: BGP, DMVPN, GRE, IPSEC, 802.1q, VRF, EIGRP, HSRP, ACLs, Port Security, AAA
- Load Balancing (Citrix NetScaler, F5)
- VPN Technologies (Citrix Access Gateway, Microsoft)
- Cisco Wireless Technologies (Cisco 9800 series Wireless LAN Controllers, Cisco 3802i Access Points)
- Experience with working with VMware, Windows, Linux
- Working knowledge of various technologies including: LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, IPSEC/SSL VPNs, Voice/Video, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, SMTP, HTTP/S
- Capable of producing documentation on processes, procedures from high level design to network topology
