Our Client is seeking to appoint a Solutions Architect to join the existing Digital team on an initial 6 month contract rate basis. Extensions may apply based on business requirements.

The successful Solutions Architect will lead the design and delivery of products and services in MS Azure.

The role reports directly to the Digital Platform Manager.

Key responsibilities:
  • Designing Microsoft Azure products and services for Digital’s teams and projects with a focus policy compliance and resilience.
  • Collaborate with the Digital’s Developer community to design and build new platform capabilities.
  • Design automation into infrastructure deployment.
  • Lifecycle Management and Capacity Planning for the DevOps platform and associated toolsets with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
  • Establishment, configuration and support of CI/CD and Automation tools
  • Ad hoc support of Digital’s Developers and Project team to continuously improve the use of Microsoft Azure
  • Engage with Technology vendors and partners when needed
Systems Accountability:
  • Products and Services deployed in Microsoft Azure and any ancillary tools used to support them.
Process Accountability:
  • ITSM complaint change control in Microsoft Azure and any ancillary tools used for support.
Selection criteria:
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency essential
  • Minimum 10 years experience designing and implementing Production cloud services with a recent focus on Microsoft Azure.
  • Design and Implementation experience with Orchestration tools such as Puppet, Chef.
  • Implementation experience with Containerisation using Kubernetes.
  • Implementation experience with Continuous Integration technologies, such as Azure DevOps, Git, Jenkins.
  • Strong experience in scripting languages, such as Python or PowerShell
  • Strong communication skills, team focus and dedication to customer delivery.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and apply them to improve customer delivery.
