Scrum Master | Multiple Roles | Opportunity 1924 

The Australian Government has invested $130.8 million over three years to establish DIPA. 

 This is a  whole-of-government initiative to make better use of existing public data. DIPA’s aim is to inform the development of emerging social, economic, and environmental policy priorities and improve the delivery of government services. 

This Federal Agency is seeking Scrum Masters to assist with a Data Analytics program which supports the Data Integration Partnership for Australia.


The Work 


Work across  ongoing developments across multiple work streams with work ramping up early next calendar year.

The role will work within an Agile multi-disciplinary operational delivery team and will be required to work with a broad range of stakeholders across the program.

The Scrum Masters will educate the agile team, and assist the team to meet its goals and coordinates activities with other teams and stakeholders.

The Team 

You will be working with a scrum team, consisting of:
- Business Analyst
- Developer
- Tester
- Product Owner
- Other

You may work with:

- Program Managers
- Project Managers
- SMEs
- Other

Skills and experience

Essential skills and experience  
  • Hold a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Scrum Master in projects working with a range of stakeholders
  • Exhibit agile leadership
  • Supports the team rules and cadence
  • Facilitates the team progress toward the team goals as outlined in their Increment plan
  • Leads the team for continuous improvement
  • Facilitates meetings and support the Product Owner
  • Eliminates impediments / blockers and escalates to Project Manager or Other
  • Builds high performing team and communicates with leadership and stakeholders
  • Participates in Scrum of Scrums / Other
  
Nice-to-have skills and experience  
  • Adaptability to work within different agile methodologies (adapting to different approaches/combinations of different methodologies applied in the scrums/program).
  • Demonstrated ability to engage collaboratively with stakeholders associated with the project
  • Transparent and collaborative at all times
  • The ability to pragmatically change direction and scope as new information is discovered and challenges or opportunities present themselves
  • Experience with SAFE Agile

 Canberra City.   

What are the working arrangements?

  On site 5 days per week, 8 hours per day.
