What will the specialist do?
The Product Manager will work in a multidisciplinary team to build world class government digital services. You will be helping government do the hard work to radically improve government information and services. The Product Manager will focus on services and capabilities that are for people, designing to make services easy for everyone to be able to understand and use, with a focus on usability and accessibility. The Product Manager will have extensive experience working in Agile in a Government environment and, ideally, experience with the Commonwealth Standard.

Essential skills and experience
- Ability to define and clearly articulate the product vision and communicate this to your team, executives and beyond
- Fighting for the user
- Running and leading a cross-functional team of people
- Ability to translate the product vision into the day-to-day priorities for the product
- A passion for making things that improve people’s lives
- Understanding of agile and product development and management
- An understanding of research, user experience, software development, operations. You can rally and talk the language of experts in these disciplines.
- At least 3 years experience in product management, or relevant transferable experience.
- Knowledge of the methodology used by the DTA, familiarity with the research and design community within DTA and the APS.
- Experience working with digital services to improve people’s lives.
