What is the gig?

The Deployment Management Lead will be responsible for the management of deployment planning and execution of activities across testing and production environments. They will also lead the deployment management team.

What are we looking for in an ideal candidate  
 
You will have proven experience in :
  • Strong background and proven experience in deployment management across testing and production environments
  • Team management experience
  • Experience in infrastructure deployments and digital transformation programs
  • Experience creating, reviewing and rolling out a deployment management process
  • Ability to support multiple projects at once
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment whilst providing quality outcomes
  • A dynamic, respectful and professional approach to collaboration with multiple teams and stakeholders
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
The following education, qualifications and/or experience are essential for this role:
  • Strong track record of supporting complex projects in previous engagements
  • Strong command of the management of deployment activities in testing and production environments
  • Strong experience with the use of project lifecycle management tools such as ALM and Cherwell
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to precision
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent ability to lead a team and motivate them in challenging situations
  • Excellent reporting and presentation skills, including the use of data to inform communication
  • Able to translate technical data into 'easy to understand' information
  • Proficient with process and system improvement analysis
  • Ability to identify, resolve and manage deployment risks and issues
  • Advanced proficiency in Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook and SharePoint
  • The candidate must state their agreement to have or obtain (at Bureau expense) baseline security clearance

The contract will be established for a 12 month term
 
Contract extensions

The contract will include an option to extend for an additional 2 x 6 months 
 
Security clearance
