Data Analyst

We are currently looking for an experienced Business Data Analyst / Engineer, who is ready to take their career to next level.  You’ll be liaising with people across all functions of the organisation, including all members of the management team.
 
This role will suit someone excited about structuring and analysing data, as well as developing new reporting tools, and dashboard, as well as working on ad-hoc projects. Your work will enable stakeholders to gather rapid insights from data which are required to support a growth-stage start-up to scale in a fast-paced environment.  You’ll be responsible for the data warehouse management and requires a level of strategic initiative, identifying opportunities for improved functionality, and toolsets that will deliver improved value to the business.
 
As the Business Data Analyst / Engineer you’ll have the opportunity to design, develop, analyse, and review reports, metrics, and data sets to support the business. You will play a critical role in the team, ensuring a high level of data-integrity and maintaining a continuous improvement mindset to help drive the business forward.
 
 
 
Skills and qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualified in Business, Financial, Analytics, Statistical, Mathematics or Science background preferred.
  • At least 3 years’ relevant work experience
  • Experience in or solid understanding of Supply Chain operations
  • Exceptional Microsoft Excel and SQL capability
  • Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) (particularly Redshift, Lambda, Data Pipeline, S3)
  • Other languages nice to have or otherwise willing to learn: Python, R, VBA.
  • Solid experience in building customised reports using PowerBI or other similar BI tool.
  • Previous experience in retail or logistics
  • Attention to detail and the ability to identify data patterns.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Planning and problem-solving skills and ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to effectively build relationships with internal customers.
  • Organisational skills and good attention to detail.
  • A determined, independent and resourceful team member.
  • Able to process large amounts of complex, unstructured information, draw meaning from it and present your findings in a structured manner.
