Role: 3x Cloud Infrastructure Specialist
Term: Initially 12 month contract
Location: Canberra
Remuneration: Competitive (dependant on experience)


Major government cyber security program requires a number of Cloud infrastructure specialists who can Architect, Design and Execute to a high technical specification a new capability. This will form a key component of the team build a new greenfield Platform as a Service (PaaS) for a number of services to sit on.  You will need to be confident in your ability to design, build, test, and deliver a highly scalable and highly secure PaaS infrastructure.

You will be working with a range of stakeholders and a team cross-functional project team. Due to the nature of the work it will be done on-site.

Australian Federal Government BASELINE clearance is MANDATORY for this role.


Essential Skills & Experience 
  • Federal Government security clearance (Australian Citizens only)
  • Analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills
  • Highly motivated, able to work independently
  • Manage multiple, concurrent tasks with competing demands
  • High attention to detail with good documentation skills
  • Experience leading or managing highly technical teams to achieve business outcomes under pressure
  • Good client communication skills
  • Expert public, private and hybrid cloud computing experience
  • Experience in architecting solutions leveraging Cloud technology including: AWS, Azure, Openstack, VMWare
  • Experience supporting container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift or CloudFoundry)
  • Sound understanding of networking, security and content distribution
  • Sound experience in non-SQL based technologies such a MongoDB, ELK, Splunk
  • Experience working in an environment employing DevOps principles, methodologies and culture
  • Sound skills in automating and running cloud infrastructure
  • Sound experience in driving CI/CD and automation in cloud solutions
Desirable
  • Linux or Windows administration experience (Red Hat Enterprise, Ubuntu or Debian) Experience using Ansible configuration management and working with git repositories
  • Exposure to VMware vCenter and working with various VMware technologies.
  • Storage technologies (such as CEPH administration)
  • Experience administering Cloudera or other Hadoop systems
  • Experience configuring and administering Splunk or ELK installations
  • Able to write SELinux policies
