This Huge Global technology consulting business have a large footprint with teams locally in every state.

With prolific growth and some acquisitions in the NSW region they are looking to engage the services of 1 or ideally 2 practice managers to grow the EPM and BI practice.

The Person 

This role is about capability and personality, and requires someone with a good level of capability in growing either a Business Intelligence/Reporting practice or an Enterprise Performance Management Business.

About the Role


With a strong Oracle BI team in NSW in place we are looking for an outstanding Business Intelligence & EPM Senior Leader to extend and develop the team taking the practice to the next level.  Reporting to the Analytics and NSW General Managers, and liaising closely with resources across the business, the BI Practice Manager NSW will be responsible for the building and extending the growth of a profitable consultancy team.


This will involve the effective development and management of our exceptional consulting talent, ensuring projects are meeting and exceeding client expectations and having complete financial and operational oversight of all practice development activities, whilst always holding up the values of the business.


The position drives the achievement and development of financial and operational metrics and the strategic agenda and detailed business planning activities in collaboration with the Analytics Practice Team.       
The BI Practice Manager NSW will assume broad accountabilities including staff development and management, playing an active part in the delivery of projects, project management oversight, pre-sales, account development, business administration, and quality management.


About You


To be successful in this position you will possess many of the following attributes:
  • Well versed with the development and execution of business strategy and detailed operational planning.
  • Previous experience working in a consulting environment and comfortable presenting to key decision makers.
  • Deep experience in delivering Business Intelligence, Big Data, and Advanced Analytics projects, with a desire to extend these solutions as we move forward with leading edge digital solutions
  • Clear understanding of all of the key elements of project management.
  • Team building. Creates a positive project team environment. Leverages others expertise and shares information and best practices to optimize work results. Encourages others and offers guidance and support to others when assistance is required.
  • Preferably experienced with pre-sales and tender submission activities.
  • Understanding of how to plan and co-ordinate resources from both the customer and practice perspective.
  • Can make balanced and timely decisions with incomplete information. Evaluates a number of different options and demonstrates the capacity to anticipate problems.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to set up win/win outcomes for all involved.
  • Previous experience with the Oracle BI solutions or similar Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytic Solutions is highly desirable.
