We have been asked to assist in the engagement of a Business Insights Analyst for a Sydney based client.
In this role, you will collaborate with senior stakeholders across the business provide concept, feasibility analysis and functional requirements for initiatives. You will elicit, analyse, communicate, and validate the requirements for changes to business systems, processes, and policies.

You will be able to quickly establish strong working relationships and communicate effectively with a wide range of business and IT stakeholders, including senior stakeholders, operational team members and external vendors. You will have a strong track record demonstrating your analytical and problem-solving skills, and logical approach to problem solving.

- Demonstrated experience working with diverse Business stakeholders to influence solution
- Tertiary level qualifications in Business, Science, Engineering or Economics.
- Initiative, flexibility, and innovative thinking
- The ability to work both independently and as an effective team member within a complex and fast paced environment
- strong communication, facilitation, negotiating and influencing skills
- Strong business and commercial acumen
- Previous experience in projects that have used Agile and Waterfall methodologies (Highly regarded)
- responsible for business intelligence reporting, customer reporting, annual price reviews, financial modelling and scenario planning, and continuous process improvement. To this end the role will involve gathering and validating data, identifying issues, risks, and benefits of existing and proposed solutions, and outlining busines impacts.
- Ability to see outside of the box, to interpret data and understand recurring themes in systemic issues▪ Financial modelling and scenario planning
- Conduct analysis of existing data to help identify patterns, aid in data quality and support business cases
- Gathering, validating, and documenting business requirements.
- Analysing commercial data such as budgets, sales results and forecasts
- Modelling business processes and identifying opportunities for process improvements
- Identifying issues, risks and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outlining
- Minimum 4+ years Business Analysis experience in a complex environment
- Strong Microsoft Office Excel skills
- SQL databases and database querying languages including Xampp.
- Programming skills
- Survey/query software.
- Business intelligence and reporting software.
- Data mining
- Experienced in business process capture and documentation
- Strong Business requirements gathering skills and writing of functional specifications
- Experience working on waterfall and Agile SDLC projects
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Good business planning, analytical and conceptual skills
- Strength in performing effective root cause analysis
- Pro-active, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and results-oriented Individual
- Experience with Salesforce an advantage
- Experience with Power BI essential
