Responsibilities will include analytical work on a range of tasks, including actuarial monitoring and analyses, data tabulations, scheme projections, cost benefit analyses, ad hoc modelling requests and report production.

 Three positions for an Actuarial Analyst in the Office of the Scheme Actuary have become available. These roles supports the Scheme Actuary to fulfil statutory requirements of the NDIS Act, together with other reporting, analysis and data management activities.

Essential skills and experience 
  • High level of data literacy skills- numerical, analytical and technical
  • Tertiary qualification in quantitative studies (eg actuarial / mathematics / statistics / economics / psychology / engineering / computer sciences)
  • Report writing skills- able to translate complete data into digestible and simple messages in line with key business goals
  
Nice-to-have skills and experience 

Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), SAS/SAS VA, SQL, sharepoint and PANDA/PANDA Live

Work setup Where will the work take place?   Surrey Hills, NSW

What are the working arrangements?   5 days per week 37.5 hour week

Is security clearance required?   Entry Level Checks will be initiated and commencement is subject to the key personnel meeting the standard in relation to the Entry Level Check requirements.

This will suit a relatively early to mid  career person looking to break into actuarial work with tertiary qualifications in Actuarial Studies or Mathematics/Statistics and progress towards post university qualifications.
